The Price of Influence
A book in progress … and an invitation to walk alongside me as it takes shape.
How the Book Began
I’ve always enjoyed writing, but I never thought I’d write a book.
To be completely honest, the only reason I started was practical — I wanted to become a professional speaker, and I noticed that every speaker seems to have a book. It felt like the necessary business card.
But once I began, something shifted. What started as a project for credibility became a process I genuinely loved. I no longer wanted just a book with my name on it — I wanted to create something that would still be useful long after I’ve left the stage.
I began asking myself: How can this book serve as a stand-in for me when I’m not there?
I wanted it to feel timeless — because I genuinely believe this is a skill that matters, no matter what you do.
That’s how The Price of Influence was born.
What the Book Is About
The Price of Influence is about how to move people when you can’t rely on authority — across departments, hierarchies, or cultures.
It began with a simple realisation: pricing, a field that looks purely analytical, is actually powered by people.
Outside a company, pricing is about helping customers see why the value justifies the price. Inside, it’s about aligning Sales, Finance, and Product to back a shared decision.
Behind every price, there’s more than numbers — there’s a story about alignment. This book shows how the same principles that make pricing work can also make influence work — how anyone can learn to get buy-in for their ideas without authority.
Through stories, research, and real-world lessons, it turns influence from something mysterious into something practical and repeatable.
Why the Founding Readers Circle Exists
Writing a book is often described as a solitary journey. It is — and it’s also a long one.
I created the Founding Readers Circle partly as a way to make that journey less lonely, and partly as a practical step. This circle helps me carve out the space and focus to do it properly — to give the book the time and attention it deserves — while offering something real in return.
Starting in early December, I’ll share one short note each month until July 2026 — not polished drafts, but reflections on what I’m learning, what’s hard, and how the ideas evolve along the way.
It’s a simple exchange: your support makes the work possible, and you get to walk alongside the process as it unfolds.
